We're looking for an experienced administrative assistant to join our highly capable team of young professionals in the Sydney CBD. Turtons is a highly regarded commercial law firm with a history spanning more than 100 years.

 

About the role

In this role you will provide a broad range of support to the firm’s lawyers, and you will be an integral part of our team. 

We will be relying on you to perform a variety of functions. Much of the role will involve traditional administrative support, including:

  • general office administration and housekeeping;
  • file management, including documentation and billing support;
  • managing external office suppliers, including IT; and
  • working on various internal projects as they come up from time to time, including arranging events and preparing marketing material. 

If you are seeking a role where you will be challenged with a variety of tasks, many of which you will not have done before, this is it.

In some ways, the scope of the role will ultimately depend on your skills and interests. You will be given the opportunity (and encouraged) to participate in many aspects of the firm's operations.

You will be supporting a team of 5 lawyers. You will receive training and support from various members of the firm (both administrative staff and lawyers), and will be working with people at all levels of the firm.  

 

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone with:

  • at least 4 years’ experience in a professional services environment;
  • a keen eye for detail;
  • a pro-active attitude and the willingness and confidence to take initiative;
  • strong organisation, time management and communication skills; 
  • advanced technology skills.

Experience in a law firm will be well regarded but is not essential.

To succeed in the role, you will need to enjoy variety and be happy to continuously be learning new skills.
