Risk management
We know that risk management is a key element of conducting business and, equally, we consider it to be a crucial part of our role in assisting with our clients’ legal strategy.
We have considerable experience and expertise in assisting our commercial clients in identifying and analysing risks (including those applicable to the particular client and to the particular industry in which that client operates), and in designing and implementing strategies to manage those risks.
Our focus is on adding significant value to our clients’ business operations and minimising future legal costs and expenses.
We regularly assist clients in minimising and managing risk, for example by:
- advising on general corporate governance issues
- assisting in contract entry risk assessment
- developing workplace policies and procedures
- evaluating and advising on the legal risks associated with clients purchasing and selling practices
- developing document and email/internet management systems
- conducting regulatory compliance reviews, including Trade Practices Act compliance
- developing and providing client-specific in-house training sessions on a wide range of risk management and compliance related topics
